What is 3uTools?

A desktop station for iPhone, iPad, and iPod

3uTools is a free proprietary Windows program that reads a connected iOS device over USB and then manages what Apple’s Finder and iTunes leave buried. Official listings also ship macOS Intel, Apple Silicon, and Linux packages.

After you plug in a cable, it reports model, battery health, IMEI, activation, Apple ID Lock, and charge cycles. From the same window you can flash firmware, back up data, or move photos, apps, and ringtones.

Device verification

Hardware checks before you buy or flash

3uTools runs a deep scan of device information, battery health, screen touch, camera imaging, and Face ID. It is built to flag refurbished units, storage upgrades, and official replacement parts, then export a verification report image.

Identity

Model, IMEI, serial, activation, and Apple ID Lock in one pass after USB connect.

Parts and battery

Battery percentage, cycle count, and replacement-part notes used by used-device buyers.

Sensors

Face ID test, camera imaging, and screen touch sit beside the same report.

Flash and repair

Easy Flash, Pro Flash, and Multiple Flash

Firmware download covers signed iOS versions. Flash modes include Retain Data and Deep Clean. DFU rescue walks a frozen device or White Apple screen into recovery. V9 Multiple Flash assigns each USB port its own progress, firmware match, and optional auto-activate.

Repair extras listed by the developer include Battery Health Repair and Error 1110 resolution. Users still report long flashes that stall, so read the flash stuck guide first.

Who actually opens 3uTools

Used-device buyers

They connect a second-hand iPhone to read cycle count, IMEI, Apple ID Lock, and refurbished or storage-upgrade flags before cash leaves the table.

Repair counters

They use Easy Flash, Pro Flash, or Multiple Flash on Normal, DFU, and Recovery devices, plus Error 1110 and White Apple rescue.

Daily owners

They export photos and music, make a ringtone from an audio file, clear residual files, and keep a desktop backup that Finder does not make obvious.

What people actually wrote

Rewritten from Softonic and Uptodown comments. Hover the row to pause.

I have used 3uTools for more than 8 years for backups and leftover-file cleanup. It stays on my bench.
The only free tool that restored my disabled iPad after Apple’s restore path failed me.
It tried to flash for almost a whole day, then showed an error. After a reinstall it sat at 34 percent for half an hour.
I lost data during a restore and the phone stayed in a bootloop. Keep your own backup before you flash.
Good for a used iPhone: battery cycles and IMEI are right there after USB.
The window is busy. I found ringtones and photos quickly, then ignored half the toolbox.
